Give Back to Denver with The Greenway Foundation!
Join the 7×24 Exchange Rocky Mountain Chapter as we team up with The Greenway Foundation (TGF) for an afternoon of volunteering and giving back to our local community!
We’ll spend the afternoon at Commons Park helping clean and protect Denver’s urban waterways and surrounding riparian environment. Volunteers will work together to remove trash and debris from the park, helping create a healthier environment for plants, wildlife, and everyone who enjoys Denver’s outdoor spaces.
This is a great opportunity to step away from the office, connect with fellow members of the 7×24 RMC community, and make a positive impact on one of Denver’s treasured outdoor spaces.
Location
Commons Park
Denver, Colorado
Meeting Location: We’ll meet at the designated spot in Commons Park, directly across the street from the angel wing statue.
What to Bring / Wear
Please come prepared for an afternoon outdoors:
- Closed-toed shoes, waterproof shoes are recommended if you’d like to work closer to the river
- Weather-appropriate clothing, including layers and sun protection as needed
- A full water bottle
- A small backpack for personal items
- Personal work gloves, if preferred
What Will Be Provided
The Greenway Foundation will provide all necessary cleanup equipment, including:
- Trash bags
- Trash grabbers
- Work gloves
TGF’s work gloves have been used during previous volunteer programs, so volunteers are encouraged to bring their own pair if they prefer.
