Jennifer Thurman is a seasoned communications executive with over two decades of experience advising and coaching senior executives. Jen has dual expertise in both communications strategy and executive leadership coaching across diverse industries, including media, healthcare, telecommunications and higher education. A former C-suite executive in the media industry and an ICF-certified professional certified coach, Jen brings a blend of deep corporate leadership experience, strategic planning and expert facilitation and coaching skills to her clients and their teams. In her role as chief communications officer for Dow Jones & Company, Jen played a pivotal role in defining the company’s mission, values, and strategic pillars. Prior to her tenure at Dow Jones, Jen spearheaded the communications strategy for Medtronic’s Surgical Innovations, a key business unit. She drove strategic initiatives to enhance growth and reinforce cohesion and culture within the organization. In her role previous roles as vice president of communications for Builder’s First Source (formerly a national building supply company), and during her eight years at Level 3 Communications, Jen built and led high-impact teams, revamped communications strategy to support cultural integration and drive growth, and successfully navigated the communications landscape for six major acquisitions, contributing to company expansion and industry consolidation. As an executive leadership coach, Jen helps leaders step into their full expression and potential; build thriving teams; and cultivate balance, productivity and joy in all aspects of their lives. She is dedicated to supporting her clients’ goals of achieving meaningful change, evolution, and making a significant impact in the world.
