THE 7X24 EXCHANGE ROCKY MOUNTAIN CHAPTER CONGRATULATES OUR 2025 SCHOLARSHIP AWARD WINNERS!
Due to the outstanding support of our members and sponsors, the Rocky Mountain Chapter was thrilled to present three $5,000 educational scholarships to very deserving students. Our chapter believes that the mission critical data center industry will reach new heights by encouraging our best and brightest students to pursue a career in this industry. We hope that our annual scholarship helps plant the seeds necessary to tackle the mission critical data center challenges of the future.
DAPHNE PEREZ
School: University of Colorado – Boulder
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Notes: Daphne is a member of the Presidential Scholars Program, STEM Core, and ASME Programs. She has worked on the morphological and kinematic parameters of robotic jellyfish. Daphne is the first generation of her family to attend college. Her design focus is on sustainability and efficiency for infrastructure in an interconnected world.
JOSE LOPEZ
School: Colorado State University
Major: Corporate Sustainability MBA with a Certificate in Greenhouse Gas Management
Notes: Jose is a member of the CSU Sustainable Business Club and a Green Project Management Ambassador. He is the first generation of his family to attend college. Jose’s design focus is on optimizing energy use, promoting clean energy adoption, advancing circular resource usage and integrating sustainability projects. This focus will lead data centers toward economic profitability, environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
AMELIA LAKES
School: Community College of Denver
Major: Civil Engineering
Notes: Amelia is a member of the Math Club as well as numerous sports related teams and initiatives. She is the first generation of her family to attend college. Amelia’s design focus is on the intersection of thermodynamics, environmental design, and sustainable infrastructure.
